Yorkshire Alpaca Show

Nobility winning SupremeOur first visit to the Yorkshire Alpaca Show (104 alpacas) was successful in more ways than one.  The show was extremely well supported by the public, with people thronging the aisles, requiring knowledge about alpacas, alpaca ownership, alpaca courses and fleece.  Apparently this stand-alone event attracted 500 visitors through the door.

This time, the Fowberry Alpacas show team, were all by EPC Top Account of Fowberry:
Fowberry Nobility - Supreme Champion, Champion Fawn Male (of 15),
1st Adult Fawn Male, Best Yorkshire Alpaca.
Fowberry Paloma - Champion White Female, 1st Intermediate White Female
Fowberry Prodigy - Champion Beige Male, 1st Intermediate Beige Male
Fowberry Morgan - Reserve Champion Beige Male,
1st Senior Beige Male
Fowberry Nostalgia - 1st Adult White Male
Burton Constable Mr C - Reserve Champion Brown Male, 2nd Adult Brown Male (lives with us on livery)Morgan left, Prodigy right. Yorkshire Show 2011

Judge Tim Hey said Nobility was "World Class; the finest-fleeced alpaca in the Supreme line-up" and "As close to the 'ideal' alpaca as it gets."

Our two Top Account progeny teams were 1st and 2nd in the Sires Progeny.

We were excited to take Supreme Champion as we had thought that the lovely Beckbrow Explorer (Champion White Male - Yorkshire) might have continued his much deserved winning year of championships!

Our thanks go to our most able handlers who helped show our alpacas in the ring.

 Nostalgia and Nicky
Apologies are required to Nobility for not rating him very highly as a newborn cria.  But at least we have stopped calling him Nobby.  Nobility's full brother (2010) and full sister (2011) also have fleeces that needed peace and quiet and some weeks to develop and get organised.

Top Account doesn't perform miracles, but over your best girls, he can deliver something truly outstanding!

See you at the British Alpaca Futurity 2012!
