Northumberland County Show 2009

Lucien May 09
Northumberland County Show 2009
had it's biggest ever entry of alpacas and the Fowberry Alpacas show team performed well. All our entrants were by sire Top Account:  Midsummer Storm, was 1st Junior White Male; Morgan was 2nd Junior Fawn Male and Reserve Champion Junior Male; La Luna (Supreme at Northumberland County in 2008) was 1st Intermediate Fawn Female and Intermediate Female Champion and last but not least, Lucien was 1st Intermediate White Male, Intermediate Male Champion, Supreme Champion and Best White in Show.

Top Account was 1st and 2nd in the Sire's Progeny class
(5 teams forward) with the second place team being solely from Northumbrian Alpacas.  Judge, Vicki Agar seemed to enjoy the fineness and density of the Top Account progeny fleeces.  Her comments about Lucien were "This male is phenotypically Fowberry Lucien
correct, he has a well organised, fine fleece, uniform in colour and style from bonnet to tail and down his legs with excellent coverage, character and extreme density."
Our comments are: just laying a hand on Lucien's fleece tells you how fine his fleece is (15.3 microns at 11months), yet his uniformity of fleece character and undeniable density single him out as very special indeed.  We have a similar championship-winning half brother to Lucien (same sire), ready to work, for sale to anyone looking for impeccable conformation and these same fleece characteristics at a sensible price.

Our congratulations go to all our clients with Top Account offspring that did so well at the Northumberland County Show.
