Nominated Herd-Sires

Futurity

The herd-sires we have nominated for the British Alpaca Futurity 2012 are Top Account, Miguel and Lucien.  For those unfamiliar with the format, any progeny you have from these males may be shown at the swish new venue of the NEC, Birmingham.  We are great supporters of this alpaca event, not only because it is impeccably organised, but for Fowberry alpacas it is at exactly the right time of year - March.  There is a price to pay for breeding super-fine fleeces and that is, come warmer weather, when a fleece has been growing on a junior for around a year, it loses its integrity due to environmental factors (second fleeces are more robust).

We will gratefully welcome any support for these herd-sires, while at the same time we will all be supporting a professionally run showcase event for alpacas in the UK.  Your halter show entries close on 14th February.  We will be taking offspring from Miguel, Lucien, Top Account and not forgetting our very special grey boy, Richebourg.  Anybody not already a fan of grey alpacas, please come to see him on 16th or 17th March 2012!
