Grandma Francesca

Renegade at ten weeks old

Yes Great Grandma Francesca has done it again with this years cria, Renegade (sire, Top Account) who is a full brother to Paloma (1st Junior White Female, British Futurity 2011). Renegade's fleece is just as beautiful and inspiring to look at as Paloma's was at the same age, but possibly slightly more dense.
Paloma 2011 histogram @ 12 months old:

Francesca at ten years old, just keeps producing astonishing cria.  We are delighted to have a male from Francesca this year, as this is only the fifth male born to a female line of eleven, originating with Francesca.

Francesca July 2011

As Francesca gets older, we have learnt all her mannerisms, since she arrived in 2003, growling and hissing at us.  Now, when it comes to spit off time, we take one look at her face and if it says "Don't even think about asking me to go in that pen with that male", then we forget it and move onto another female.  She can still growl when she needs to. We hope that Francesca will be an inspiration to those breeders that have also had a female undergo a caesarean (2006).

Francesca's only other son, Midsummer Storm is a successful herd sire at Old Cross Alpacas.
