Fowberry Cria 2012

With two females left to birth, we are coming to the end of our birthing with 13 girls and 9 boys.

Firstly, we have Fowberry Savanna, a full sister to herd sire, Fowberry Lucien and out of our full Accoyo Benleigh Bellisimo daughter Helena.

Savoir Faire and Melina

Next we have a cross which really never disappoints: a Viscount daughter - Fowberry Melina  (right) with Top Account across.  Savoir Faire (male) is pictured just born being welcomed by Nikita.

Just to confound the colour theorists, Sahara is by Fowberry Morgan (light fawn) and Hazel is mid fawn.  Sahara is a rich solid chocolate colour and our first ever dark brown. Another two were to follow her! Fowberry Morgan is now owned by Winterhead Alpacas of Snowdonia, but has produced two stunning brown cria for us and a lovely solid mid fawn for clients. As we would expect from a sire whose third fleece was 18 microns and a dam whose third fleece was 18 microns, Sahara barely has a guard hair on her body.

Hazel's third consecutive daughter, Supreme Champion, La Luna, is pictured here with her third cria, Fowberry Songbird by Beckbrow Alpaca's Warradene St Patrick of EPC.  Songbird is a solid dark brown with an exciting bright fleece.

This is Fowberry Sophia, a full sister to Fowberry Nobility, Prodigy and Regal Lily. All four are by Top Account, out of our superstar mid fawn dam Fowberry Keiko (a Viscount daughter).  Keiko's cria have never ever been placed less than 1st place in shows and have won seven Champions including Supreme.  Keiko is out of Hazel and her half sister is La Luna.

Serena with Mum Nikita

Fowberry Nikita (dam) is a beautiful Top Account daughter with a wonderful characterful fleece.  She is from our best white female line and is out of one of Francesca's four daughters - Jacinta, now owned by Highland Alpacas. Baby Serena is by EPC Supremacy and although a little skinny at birth, Nikita has been feeding her well.

Scimitar with Francesca

Francesca with her seventh fabulous cria, Scimitar (male). Francesca is an older girl now and has been feeling the cold and wet. She enjoys extra rations by hand after her daily hard feed.

Cria group 2012

Left to right: Serena (by Supremacy), Sherwood (by Miguel), Scholar (by Top Account) and Sirocco, again a very pleasing boy by St Patrick (see above) out of Ione, a female whose two previous male cria are working males in Finland and Wales. No pressure there, then Sirocco!
