Alpaca Birthing 2010
Here is a photo' to cheer us on and help us to realise that after all the snow, ice, mud and rain, Spring will come and before too long we will be up to our knees in grass and wet cria coats. Joy!
Although in theory alpaca birthing will start at the beginning of April, we suspect with the harshness of the recent weather, that dams may well have stalled growth of foetuses and might therefore be late, or later than usual! We are due 21 cria this year and our cria names will all start with the initial letter 'P' - any suggestions welcome.
