Power Point Presentation. This theory-based course is designed to give you confidence in your knowledge of the birthing process and a further insight into feeding for success.

Normal birthing signs and stages Actual birthing process Causes for concern, 15 minute rule Recognising an ‘at-risk’ cria After-care of dam Birthing bag essentials for birthing and birthing checklist for each birth Care, raising and feeding of cria up to and including weaning
FEEDING FOR FIBRE – PRE AND POST NATAL NUTRITION Maximising the genetic potential for fibre production in the herd, from a practical point of view and interpreting the variation in fibre diameter along the staple with reference to nutrition and general health.
Cost £65 per person: includes workshop, home-cooked, hot, two course lunch and extensive bound course notes. (£60 each, for two bookings). Payment in full to secure booking. Refunds given if we can fill the cancelled place/s. Payment accepted by cheque (made out to Fowberry Alpacas) or please pay by Paypal in our on-line shop.
- Minimum number of attendees for this course – three in total.
- Course open to adults or accompanied children over fourteen years old.
- Warm clothing and boots (that can be dipped in disinfectant) recommended.
