(b.2006, Sire – Viscount, 8.5kg)

Katarina was born by caesarean section as night fell after her dam had a torsion of the uterus. She was as bright as a button even although displaying slight signs of pre-maturity at 324 days gestation.

Francesca didn’t take to Katarina as she didn’t have any milk at first and enough problems of her own to contend with, so Kat was bottle-fed a total of 2,500 bottles of full fat goat’s milk over six months to end up at weaning time as one of the highest weaning-weights of her birth year.

She has grown out into the most delightful young female – reflected when she stole the Show at the Northumberland County Show in 2007: her results – 1st Junior White Female, Champion Junior Female, Best White, Best Home Bred Alpaca, and Supreme Champion.
