Hand-Woven Black & White Scarf - white tassels
This scarf was hand-woven in the Scottish Borders and the colourway of black and white has proved to be very popular. This complicated-looking design is apparently not complicated to weave. It almost has a 3-d design, which is very effective.
Our talented hand-weaver used extra-fine, Fowberry alpacas' 2-ply for this scarf: the white is made up with fleece from mother and daughter, Fowberry Claudia and Fowberry Hera and including Claudia's son, Krispin and Hera's son, Kyros. The black extra fine 2-ply is made up from Fowberry alpacas - sisters, Hermione, Geena and also Kali and Jameelia.
The particular way we process the fleece into yarn makes it super-soft. Soft enough to have right next to your skin. This scarf measures approx. 170cms x 26cms including tassels.
