Giselle and Heidi's Hand-Spun and Hand-Knitted Hat

This hat is more a work of art and labour of love than a garment.  Giselle (medium grey) and Heidi's (dark grey) fleeces were individually hand spun and then plied together into this gorgeous, slubby, organic, chunky yarn, where the two full sisters' fleece colours are still distinguishable.  Then, it took 160 gms of yarn to hand knit this beautiful-looking,  incredibly warm hat, that is adorned with three little knitted spirals on top. The wide cable stitch brim measures 10 cms.

This hat is the reason we say that we make garments "For more than one Generation": no cheap yarns and processing here, but a garment made with time and love, that is guaranteed to last for decades.
